Math-O-Matic works around a modular design either on a server or a single computer. Adding new modules is easily accomplished on the server and workstations automatically keep themselves updated. Every module has the following features in common:
Each module contains a variety of different skills for the student to master.
Different levels of difficulty are available so that students are able to learn at their own ability.
Each student’s progress is controlled by their teacher. The auto-progress feature also acts as a bookmark for students using multiple modules. Set up the entire class or any number of individual students in minutes.
Students who need extra practice time have the practice mode available. They may view their results but the scores are not saved to the scoring database.
Since the computer keeps track of the testing, students can see instant results after each test or practice. When the student is using the testing mode, scores are recorded to view or print, including incorrect answers.
Teachers may monitor a student’s progress on tests with easy to read reports and graphs. Worksheets can also be printed for homework problems.
Setting up classrooms and students is easily done by exporting a list from a text editor or spreadsheet program and importing it into Math-O-Matic.
Students are quickly assigned to classrooms either singly or in groups through data import.
